Dear Margy,

Received your letter Saturday & was swell to hear from you. Still having winter weather up there? It's pretty busy down here. The sun hasn't been out for a week. It's very damp & dreary. Very disheartening.

About the prisoners. We still have the German's here, but we haven't gotten any new ones. Don't imagine we will get any more. But you never can tell.

I think I'm going to be transported but not off the post. Will probably go to Headquarters Company. The Adjoint ant said that he wanted me up there, so I guess that's' where I'll wind up. Don't think I can do about it. Maybe something will turn up & transferred won't go through at least I'm hoping. I hate like the

devil to leave this 400th outfit. It's a messed up outfit, but I still like it. You get to know all the fellows & they seem just like brothers to you. That's one good point about the Army. You made a lot of swell friends. But then, if I go someplace else I'll probably make a lot more friends. To date, I guess, I've meet fellows from every state in the union.

Last Saturday I made another trip to Ft. Worth. It's a city just like Cincy. In fact, there are several streets & buildings that remind me a while lot of Cincy. It was raining & not a very good night, so we didn't stay very long. Was swell to get away from Camp though. This place sure gets monotonous.

Gosh, I'm all run down. I've got through quite a few letters the past week, so alll I've been doing is answering letters. By now, I'm all run down.

I'm supposed to be attending a non-coms school, but I skipped it. Will probably hear about it in the morning.

Well I've got to run now, so I'll close. Be good & tell your mother & Dad I said "hello", Write when you have time & don't work too hard!

Your Cousin,
Joe
