(-2-) same as they were in the Pacific, the only tough thing about the camp is the working days we have to work nine days before we get a day off but we also get a three day pass every six weeks. cigarettes and cigars are rationed but I think I' l be able to get along anyway, one of the fellows that doesn't smoke lets me use his ration card so I get twelve packs a week instead of six. So far I can' say anything wrong about the food, we' e had pork chops and steaks every day except Tuesdays, which is meatless day in the army, but after eating all of that dehydrated food overseas, I think I can do with meatless days one day a week.
