Dear Sis,
I just finished a letter to my other sister Betsy, and as I told her I don't know why I'm so late in writing unless it's because I've been thinking too much about demobilization. It will admit that I've been hoping pretty hard. If hopes come true

I'll be getting on my way soon. Otherwise it will be just another myth. I told Betsy I had to write to you and I didn't Know what I'd write about and I still don't. We've just been told that there will be some more boys leaving here. the old outfit has really changed, Fellows coming and going. the ones going are the ones that interests us. We went an awful long way together,. I sure would like to meet a few of them after we are civilians. We could really have a good time. What have you got to say about the old stamping grounds. I supposed it seems dead to you too.

To us the old home town are heaven regardless how dull it is. Have you been wondering how I got the typewriter. Well I did a little work for he sargent and with a little extra time I decided to write to you and Betsy.

I sure could use plenty of practice on this as you can easily see. Right now we are in a new part of Germany. Not far from the other place but an awful lot better, We live near a town and have time every night to go in to get some coffee and donuts. From there we can either go to a picture or the club where everyone hangs out.

It's like a nightclub but it serves only beer. The boys always manage to get something a little more potent. There is always one or town rowdy ones and I'm afraid the whole thing will fall through eventually. That's the way it is when there Is a bunch of GI's around and get a few drinks under their belts.
