Dear Nellie,
Received your letter this morning written June 8th. No questions. No Answers, Tonight received the padlock knife & cig. and the letter written June 9th. Was sure glad that you were going to Camp. Enjoy it all you can. There was two new daddies in our company today, both were boys. Sat. afternoon Warren Walhousin and the rest of the Squad leaders got their Corp.Stripes; this is only for the 17 weeks or until some one pushes them out.

I nor any of the platoon leaders didn't get ours. I am not surprised because they should be kept open until they find out how we are doing. It is a pretty big job and the going it hard. We had a seven miles like today will a full pack except extra shoes. Some of the fellows couldn't keep in step coming in so we got out at 8.30 for instruction tomorrow. We have our regular day then the Squad leaders and guides here another 1 1/2 hours after that we have a right problem from 8 until 12. It will make a damn long day.

I have intending to call but we didn't have time Sat night on Sunday. Some of the fellows have called to Boston or near by it took 6 1/2 hours. If we go out for a weekend I will try to put in a call. That is of we have a hotel room or some place where we will be for quite a period of time.

Well have a good time and get to camp every chance you have. All my love to you and Jackie. I was going to Telegraph some flower for your Birthday also buy some thing for Jackie, but am afraid I won't have time as yet I haven't got the money
