I haven't seen any little girls here to write about, so we don't get down street until after dusk. It gets dark very early here, at five o'clock it is quite dark and by six, just as dark as night. We do have one nice big black German police dog that daddy has made friend with. He is quite old and all cut up from fighting. He is nice and gentle and likes very much to be patted.
Daddy has to use a telephone a lot here a lot of long distance calls. Tonight I have got to call Paris to check on a EM to go to West Point. You would like this telephone so they dial system, and you could have a lot of fun with them. We also have an adding machine. It is very much different from the one at the store. You wouldn't like that because it doesn't make any noise and doesn't show any figures
