Dearest Darling

Received your mail while in Fort Meade which I never expected to get. I'm no longer there any more but some where in New York on the East Coast.

I'm going on pass tomorrow night to see new York city, thats If everything works out OK. I won't be here long maybe there or more days yet so it won't be long before I'll be in hot stuff. I really can't say much they don't allow us to. It's snowing out

tonight but not very cold. I've been issued all new combat equipment so I'm already to leave but as the time comes closer I'm not to much in a hurry. Most of the fellows went on pass tonight so the barracks is pretty dead. Honey I'm sorry but went off on left all the things I was making your bracelet out of in Fort Meade, but don't get mad. I'll make up for it some way. I'll send you a bracelet of some kind from Europe.
