Somewhere in France
Dear Donna,
Just found time to write you a few lines. I haven't had time to hardly been around to do anything. I'm now in General Patton's third Army somewhere in France. I arrived in France march the eighteenth and been riding a train ever since. I've seen some Awful sights while traveling the different cites and there sure isn't much left to see. I sure feel sorry for the French people for they've sure been through a lot _____. I sure had so spent most of my time on deck all but time but times the navy wouldn't permit. Well honey I haven't more to say so will close hoping to hear from your soon and often. Write soon.
