Dear Donna,
Received your most welcome Easter Card and letter, the first I've ever received. I'm very sorry I haven't wrote to you sooner but we don't stay in one place long enough to write. I'm now back for a little rest so may catch up on my letter writing at least I hope so for I've many to write.

I just finished eating my "K" ration for supper and shoing up so have the evening all to myself with now guard to stand to-night and nothing to do, ain't it a shame. Bun hearing a little modern music from U.S. in a few

Some of the boys I'm with want to learn the Trolly Song & one mear Ball and etc. Its getting pretty warm over here now just a little to warm for the amount of walking well daring, just the amount of walking well doing, just third about me sweating, my head off while you laying on the beach of Lake Michigan keeping cool.
