Dear Donna,

Received your most welcome letter the other day, the first I've had from you in weeks but hope you start writing more often. Received a letter from Mother saying Snooks my best friend from Fonica where I used to live has been killed. Yes, but it's hard to believe.

Also a letter from a friend I trained with in Texas, he' s now somewhere in Germany. I just finished reading to Chicago Tribune, Sun & Sunday paper dated April 15th. Not a real good sun been the weather lately hasn't rained in weeks. We have a radio here in the city I'm now in so now

were listening to the hit parade also a ball game between the cubs and Brooklyn. Donna it may not be long before I'll be seeing you from the way thing are beginning to tune out, then I'll probably have to worry about the C.B.I as the South Pacific.

Well Donna, I can't think of much more to write so will close. Please excuse the poor writing but I go on guard in a few minutes so have to write fast.
