Dearest Darling,

Have a few minutes to pass away this afternoon so that I'd write and tell you I recieved your most welcome and appreciated boxes. I'm sorry I've neglected to write to you but I haven't got any mail in a week so i was getting dam discusted & didn't write. I've been awful sick the last two days that I had apprendicitus but am much better to-day.

Just finished ironing my cloths god what a job I always hate to see my uniform get dirty for the work thats ahead. Having awful weather this

week, rained every day so darn sure did make it awful to train in. Had a nine mile hike this week and lots of other things getting chicken as hell. The Czechs are coming in tomorrow to take radios, irons etc from the Germans in this village so the people gave us radios & irons galore. The neighbors lady just brought us some cake sure look good the people over here seem very nice they give us anything we happen to ask for. Well darling I'm stopping till after supper hoping to get some mail.


Well now I'm happy I got a few letters and a paper but none from you. One of my brother is now home, he arrived in the States from Italy the eleventh of June the lucky bum bit more power to him.
