Dear Donna,
Well here it is Saturday afternoon hot as hell we haven' had any rain for so long I would sure like some now there isn' much clouds right now. Had to work a little today while some the Squad was out in parade as for army day. They have been out marching for 4.5 hrs now. I have been off for sometime and am off till Monday. I am not going to town till tomorrow as there are 20,000 civilians out here at camp that means lots of girls so expect to have a good time this afternoon and evening.

Well, how is it with you? Are you doing much of anything? Sorry to hear that your boyfriend is out of town. How is your family? Hope Mom and Dad are OK! Send my love to Mary and ask her to answer my last letter. I am getting a weekend pass next week plus 4 day I have coming, sounds funny to me to get a leave pass and no flying the Clipper. I will have 6 days off I am in doubt as where to go I would like to come to Chicago but while I am no far, I think I will try and to go to Dallas Texas. No kidding. In fact think you want to go there

I know a couple of people there, I think I know who you mean I am sure Donna way the night before left Chicago I think " " sure I saw Jackie Cae she was with a fellow maybe her husband maybe someone else. I could not mistake her she was getting on a Devon and Kidye street car. Well so much for that I am feeling pretty good now was gals to hear from you. I got a letter from my sister she sent me a few pictures of little Jimmy and herself he sure is cute little fellow I want mind when he gets a little older to give home a few nickles when he wants to well not much more to write as I must get out and watch the parade well anyway
