Dear Donna,
Well guess I had better drop you a line first of all I went to the Island of Truk and had planned on staying over Xmas but we were called back for a bombing mission.

We left Fri 13th at 07:00 AM and flew over 9 islands on the way we bombed a volcanic island and it was smoking when we got there and was much more after me left there was B-29 that took off but one had to turn back as no 3 engines cut out the comd of my ship of my ship was capt Clayton the no was 1551 or M1 you might read about the paper if so I was the 1st radar man under Capt. Burke

well enough for that while I was in truck I picked up a little hard boys made of shells then was not much in callers so I did the best I could the only thing you will have to get a zipper or something as it is open at the top. It would like to hear from you when you get it and let me know what you think of it.

There just isn' too much to pick up but I will keep my eyes open but I want to hear from you so I will know if you care for anything like that. Well there isn' much doing now I am kinda so that I had to come back for that
