Dear Roy:

We were all surprised to learn that you had taken a trip and mighty glad you are safe and sound. How is the climate? Did you cross the equator? I write to a boy friend of Jack' that is down there. Your Mother and Dad is well. Write them a letter as soon as you can.

Boy start schools and likes it very much. We had a thunder and lightening storm last night and today is warm as spring. I don' know who is going to clean all the wallpaper around here since you are gone. People around here are calling you up every day. Did you know a taxi-driver named Roy Brake? He died last week.

I do not like this V-mail paper because the ink soaks in it. I hope you can read it. Tony and Jack send their best wishes. La Vina has to wear glasses now. Be a good boy now and take care of yourself. I will write again before too long.

Very Sincerely
Elsie Moscoe
