Dear Sis + Carl :-
Received a letter from Mother today, so I thought it being a few days since I wrote you, would write to you. You can tell Mother that I received her letter O.K. I am still feeling fine and dandy. Today is what they call "Muster" day. It comes once a month always the last day of the month. They give every man the once over, see that all beds are kept

Bottle After bottle the germans got drunk, so while the german were drunk the indian allies came in and blew the whole house up! I ended up with a broken tail bone. A crushed adams apple, and blood for spit. I spent about four months recovering, and four months is a long long long time while your in a war. I would get shot at because i could move fast.
