My Dear Mummy,

Here I am again. Our study is more or less ship shape now. I have got a nice big table to myself. The study table and a nice blue tablecloth which a fellow left behind. It looks like knitted velvet or plush and must have cost quite a lot. It didn't cost me a sov, so I am well away. The table cost me nothing either. It is a nice study, we all have tables to ourselves, and plenty of locker room. There are only four of us, Rylands,Mayhues, William R.M. and myself. I am head of Millington and a school jowt so I have told you in my card. I am 18 bedder wth Farthing and we have to look after about 17 people, quite a big responsibility as all the toughs of the house are in there. It is over on the other side. By that I mean the bedder is in old school house and not school house. Miss Nevell looks after your clothes not Letty. But I told Letty about my suit and she thought it would be quite alright, so that's o.k. isn't it?

I shall get an order on Monday for a sweater a thin white a school joint tie, a house monitor tue and a school photo.
Charlie Gray stopped me yesterday and after congratulating me on my monitorship said he intended to make me a L.S.M. He didn't know quite what he wanted me to do, He said he might want me to do something with Court A candidates.
It is my week on duty in the house this week, also Balge and I have to take lockup this week, then we have done our bit for the team. Of course we shall have school duties to perform. We school joints have quite a plethora in C rahel on Sunday, what with conducting visitors to their places and giving them books etc..... It is my lesson on Wedneday. Quite a pannicky thought, I hope it goes off O.K. I had a bathe yesterday, it was very nice and I am going to have another one this afternoon. The baths are very nice, they have done a bit more to them, fitted a few more doors. I will show you the alterations when you

I have just bought another postal order to send to Filler Limited. I shall post me to them every Sunday till I have paid them off.
I have got to go to the Beach after the with Wingram to see about our schemes. I shall start working properly tomorrow.
Well I really can't think of much more to say. I don't think I have forgotten to tell you anything, if I have you must tell me about it in your letter. My nails are O.K. you need not worry about them so far. Well cheers, please give my love to Grandma and Jean.
