Dear Mummy

Thanks very very much for the parcel and the cards in your previous letter I am using the little ink well now because I am writing you this on Charford It is just what I wanted I am not in Millers tent I am in Hawkes with quite a decent crowd I am also in quite a decent section So things are not so bad after all

My luggage is coming home PLA My suitcase will be packed inside my trunk I will tell you what I want you to bring in my letter on Sunday I am reading a book called "Cry Havoc" by Beverly Nichols Its jolly good My final position in Hist was th Chess th Gerry th I dont know any others yet Will tell you everything on Sunday Could you tell me the name of the hotel we are staying at at Scarborough I have forgotten it Thanks tremendously for parcel
