My Dear Mummy,
Thanks so much for your letter and enclosed calendar from Bromsgrove. Like a fool I put your letter in my white flannels and then sent them to be cleaned, so I shan't get the letter back until tomorrow. If you wanted anything in particular answering I shall have to do it on Wednesday.

So glad G. is improving but I knew she would. See that she gets out at least once a day and she gets to eat whatever she likes and as much as she likes. I should like to have seen Aunty Nora, she is an aunt worth having in the way of looks isn' t she. She would make no small stir down here if she came.

Take a short break with our 1 minute survey, simple questions that are an enjoyable distraction.

A ready made coat will do perfectly alright? It is not very difficult to fit a Teddy Bear because they fit so loosely. Have just had a game of soccer against 5 Cay. I play nearly every Sunday and usually every Friday also perhaps another day in the week. Did some voluntary riding the other day. Trotted out to Banossa and did a couple of jumps.

Am going to see Stormy Weather lingual with Tom Walls at the R.M.C flick house. Am not sure if I have not already seen it.

At the moment am in the throws of cleaning as we have an inspection on Monday, I may have to fall back on you to get home for the long weekend if us. Now pocket money isn't credited on 29th. Will let you home later about that. Am reading a book called "Hollywood through the back door" Very interesting and descriptive about a laddie who comes from Germany to America by freight ship then gets a lorry lift to Los Angles. That is so

far as I have got so far. Well I don't know that I have an awful lot more to say, nothing very much has happened this week. My room is arranged round as I rather like it - gives me more room. Must apologies for a rather shorter letter than usual but I have run rather dry. Well dear please give my love to G. and the wee lady.

All my love
Teddie

Did you know: The word "inst" was a very commonly used abbreviation for the Latin "instante mense" meaning this month.
