You kind letter came only to hand. Should have had it ere this but expect it has been here by this time. The regiment came here here the 28th of last month and has been waiting to be mustered out. I expect to be every day and Sunday we found out that our papers were not right so one of the boys has gone back to the front to get them corrected. We will probably have to stay here six or 8 days yet. Want to get home

The weather is very warm here yet more so than at any time last summer rains. Most every day showers. Atlanta is taken at last. Every thing looks favorable for more soon.
