and the fellows downstairs are write so I am going to answer.

It helps to pass away the time and it seems just like talking to you when I get your letters. But then I keep myself pretty busy all the time. Yesterday morning I was fishing I caught a Perch and a Rock Bass. Another fellow caught a Piceral. We have about 8 or 10 poles and we get out on a long pier of rock you can see them on that picture of Harry standing by the boat. When one

fellow gets tired of fishing another takes the pole. We have a box down by the lake sore with about 200 fish in it. I don't know what they will do with them.

My but it was a swell evening last night, the lake was just like a mirror. There was about 30 canoes out on the lake and several launched. Then there was some college fellows out there with "" and guitars and they come up close to the shore and played for us until we were called to quarters. When I went to

bed I could not go to sleep for a long time. I just lay there and of all the thing that came into my mind. It certainly don't seem like war to me. I am enjoying myself even if we are only allowed about a hundred feet of lake shore and the back alley.

I did not tell you that I was in with the worst cases. When I wrote the other day there were sixteen of us separated from the rest that was the reason we had to get out on the roof

but we were let out with the other fellows yesterday. That is down to the lake shore. There is about 150 of us in this bunch and the rest are down on the main floor. They go to school and are allowed to write letters, but do not go down town. There has not been any cases since Tuesday so I guess we have it stopped. Say I hardly recognized myself in those pictures I seem so strange to see my self dressed up with a collar

and tie.

Say why didn't you tell me to comb my hair when you took that one where I was on the stump? When I look at this pictures I certainly wish to see you and I am thinking a hundred kisses from you dearest Alice.

There are certainly temptations in the Army life and its you that is helping me overcome them. I will have to let you tell you when I see you. Evem with the high ideas I had before I left home I am afriad it would of have been pretty hard to........BILLY WAS HERE!!!! I LOVE MI BOB! ^_^

keep them if it had not been for you. I don't know what you will think of me writing all this nonsence but that is the way I am felling tonight. So forgive me but I believe I am love sick tonight with scarlet fever (Ha Ha)

Well it is time for (gargel drill) we all fall in with each a thin cup and go down to the wash room where we fill with with water there the doctor comes around with some kind of drops

write because when I started to school again I suppose I will be pretty busy. Say I had granted time yesterday I done about two weeks washing. I borrowed a pail from the janitor and some gold dust and went down to the shower bath and went to work. Well I got my washing out an hung it on a rope that is string between two trees back in our alley. Then while they are drying a couple of pieces fell down and
