We recd your letter last week because we could not get that money changed sooner we have not written sooner I was driven to yesterday exchanged it at the bank Mon Mason O W has not got any money yet He says that he has not settled with Mr Kimball yet When he pays it we can send it in another letter I have not asked for money from the fact that Jim Moss cant get any out of him I thought it of no use for me to try

There has been an immense sign of rain within the last ten days the weather no frost

We have that piece of ground by Aunts Hixson sowed to rye & the field below sowed to wheat part of it drilled part of it shoveled and the balance dragged in We have down nothing with the new ground yet

We have cut part of the corn at Johns Es I was down to Millersburg last week & did a lot of farming We hired L last Sunday to teach seven lessons more in music for a dollar per lesson Nearly all the scholars signed cts apiece and some that were not did the same
