Cincinnati, Ohio. February 6/65

Friend Conner,

We are here (and have been since we arrived) and don't exactly know when to get off.

I am doing as well as could be expected of a country Jake, on Chicken Pie and roasted Chestnuts.

Chestnuts 10c per glass and the Chicken Pie thrown in (to the mouth).

I wish I was out of this place of Sand Sharks and sub-stitutes.

Should my horse need corn before I get back please get some at Houston's Warehouse and tell them to charge to me till I get back. I may be up Wednesday Thursday Friday. Can't ÿ

tell what day. We have had good luck so far. Put in 8 men at 400$ each and could have put in 5 of them at 375$ if I had had my way.

But as it is we done well. We were asked 450 and 475 when we first came down.

Give my respects and good wishes to all the friends in W particularly at Mrs A's.

I fear you are in an unpleasant state of things about the draft. And I am ditto if Union Trp. does not get out. They may.

Ben Burnett and David Vause are here for the purpose of buying credits and they think the propsect good. If they don't get out I am going with the Cavalry. Respectfully,
