I am greatly obliged to you for the very full information contained in your letter of the 29th instance, with reagrd to the Trust created under the marriage settlement of Mr Humberson and Miss Campbell Hamilton. In reply, I beg to inform

you that, as the Funds to be put in Trust consist of (1) Lesmontagne Railway Stock (2) Metropolitan District Railway Stock and (3) a ground Rent secured over property in the City of Edinburgh, I have no objection to becoming one of the Trustees provided that, holding the view I do - views most strongly opposed to permitting
